Beginner to Intermediate level
Inversions and arm balances can be intimidating, elusive, and painful poses without proper training. In this workshop, you’ll learn safe and effective techniques for unlocking challenging poses like headstand, scorpion, 8-crooked limb, and other arm balances. Instructor Reno Gorman has over a decade of experience teaching yoga arm balances and inversions, and is a professional acrobat. He’ll cover alignment and anatomy to keep your shoulders, neck, and wrists protected from injury, as well as poses and exercises to create the flexibility and strength needed for inversions and arm balances. With good alignment, warm ups, and smart progressions, you’ll find you are able to uplift yourself in ways you might have never thought possible! These poses offer a new level of fitness and well being, with headstand often described as the king of all asanas. Find out for yourself why in this fun and empowering workshop.
This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate level practitioners. If you have little to no experience, you’ll make several breakthroughs on basics and have a strong foundation for progression. More experienced practitioners will refine specific techniques and discover new poses/movements to deepen their practice even more.
