Reno will teach the ALL Bodies Yoga module, as well as the Thai Yoga Massage and Acro Yoga portions of this 300-hour training at The Yoga Seed Collective

∆ T R A I N I N G D E S C R I P T I O N ∆
This is a social justice and trauma-informed 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training. Through educating our teachers on social issues, we intend to build a community of yogis that are aware of the complexity of the yoga industry today - and are dedicated to intentionally disrupting it.

This immersive series of workshops bridges concepts of yoga accessibility, trauma-informed yoga, all bodies yoga, social justice, decolonization, shadow work, self-care, community building, and advanced yogic practices.

The training will culminate with a group project that will bring attention and awareness to issues facing our local and/or global community.

Together, we learn how our meditation and yoga practice can assist us in shifting culture, both internally and externally - breath by conscious breath. This is our opportunity to be the change we wish to see - together - with our community.

This advanced training requires you to have previous experience in yoga.

Inversions & Arm Balances

Taking your practice to the next level. Explore these fun poses and energize your practice.

This workshop is designed to teach you tools how to access inversions and arm balances in a safe, stable, focused, and fun way. There can be a sense of frustration or fear that arises on the topic of inversions or arm balances, so there will be opportunity for questions, demonstrations, wall work, and partner work.

The intention is to move you to a place of confidence and understanding while planting the seeds of possibility to continue ripening in your future yoga practice. You will begin to recognize re-occuring themes within your asana practice that will continually strengthen the muscles and mind frame needed to play with flight.

Catch Reno and Special Guest(s) for Acro-Fire performance along side some of Sacramento’s best fire dancers at the 5th annual Dragon Ass Ball.

Tickets: https://dab.ticketbud.com/dragon-ass-ball-cof-project-fundraiser

5th Annual DAB -- This year we are doing the party a little differently. Just like we did with WAB (White Ass Ball) - It will be a fundraiser for a very special large scale art project produced by our camp. For those of you that don’t know -- our new camp Circle of Friends Camp (previously Dragon Ass Camp) did a proof of concept sculpture for Burning Man this year! It was of course called “Circle of Friends” and we will have it at the party for viewing! The name is a bit corny perhaps – but a great sentiment and great project that we are all very proud to be part of.
So for Burning Man 2019 we are doing a large scale art installation with 6 each of the scaled up sculptures around a central fire pit plus lighting and fire effects. This of course is an expensive (very expensive) endeavor to pull off and although we have a loose commitment from Burning Man on an honorarium for 2019 – we will still need to raise a bunch of funds to succeed.
Hope this isn’t too much of a change for everyone – but this we are selling tickets to directly support the COF Project and hope that everyone can appreciate the value of our objective - coupled with one kick-ass party as always! We hope to bring new art cars and get bigger participation overall.

Sparkle Pony Tickets = $50 (includes COF Stainless Pendant - Normally $20)

Spring is when colorful landscapes are re-born onto the face of the cold winter palate. Life moves fast in spring and the wonder of nature's geometry can almost be viewed in real time. Beatnik has celebrated this natural phenomenon with a delicate show of color and geometry, along with an installation that celebrates the power of light.

Reno will be performing acrobatics with Cody Tudor, aka The Inverted Gentleman, at this art showing at the famous Beatnik Studios in Sacramento CA.

Our finale for this season’s art show will feature floral arrangements, live music, performances, food and drinks all inspired by the visual and installation artworks which have anchored the spring atmosphere at Beatnik.

Inversion & Arm Balance Workshop

Sunday, Feb 17
1-3pm
$30, or $25 early bird registration by Feb 7
Beginner to Intermediate level

Inversions and arm balances can be intimidating, elusive, and painful poses without proper training. In this workshop, you’ll learn safe and effective techniques for unlocking challenging poses like headstand, scorpion, 8-crooked limb, and other arm balances. Instructor Reno Gorman has over a decade of experience teaching yoga arm balances and inversions, and is a professional acrobat. He’ll cover alignment and anatomy to keep your shoulders, neck, and wrists protected from injury, as well as poses and exercises to create the flexibility and strength needed for inversions and arm balances. With good alignment, warm ups, and smart progressions, you’ll find you are able to uplift yourself in ways you might have never thought possible! These poses offer a new level of fitness and well being, with headstand often described as the king of all asanas. Find out for yourself why in this fun and empowering workshop.
This workshop is suitable for beginner to intermediate level practitioners. If you have little to no experience, you’ll make several breakthroughs on basics and have a strong foundation for progression. More experienced practitioners will refine specific techniques and discover new poses/movements to deepen their practice even more.
